Sergio was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and has lived in the United States for the past 27 years. He values being part of the O’Dowd community, where colleagues feel like an extended family and a strong sense of connection defines the school’s culture.

In his role in the Admissions Office, Sergio enjoys connecting with prospective students and families and helping them take the next step toward becoming part of the O’Dowd community.

Outside of work, Sergio enjoys traveling, attending Oakland’s First Fridays, and spending time gardening and cooking. A fan of Mexican cuisine—especially mole—he also loves bringing people together through good food and conversation.
