An O’Dowd alumna originally from Alameda, Savannah returned to the school to teach science and share her love of the natural world with the next generation of Dragons. She earned her BS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She finds joy in working with adolescents and watching them grow as learners and individuals. In the classroom, she emphasizes collaboration, encouraging students to exchange ideas and build understanding together. She believes science helps students make sense of their surroundings, develop critical thinking skills, and cultivate curiosity about the world around them. Outside of school, she enjoys hiking and backpacking, playing volleyball, reading, and arts and crafts.
