Sara is guided by a deep belief that access to information is a human right and essential to a free and just society. She earned her BA in History and Social Studies Teaching Credential from Saint Mary’s College of California, as well as her Teacher Librarian Services Credential and Master of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. She is passionate about helping students locate, evaluate, and apply information while developing creativity, communication, and critical thinking skills. She also values creating a welcoming library space where all community members feel seen, respected, and celebrated. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, word puzzles, baking, crafting, hiking, and yoga.
