Robbie is passionate about helping students develop the skills to read, write, speak, and listen with clarity and purpose. Originally from Healdsburg, California, he earned his BA in Theater Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, a Single Subject Teaching Credential in English and an MA in Teaching from Saint Mary’s College of California, and an MA in Social Philosophy from Loyola University Chicago. He teaches because it is the place where he feels he can make the most meaningful difference in students’ lives. Grounded in sincerity and authenticity, he believes students learn best when they know their teacher genuinely believes in the material and the work they are doing together. Outside of school, he enjoys writing and exercise.
