Karen is passionate about inspiring curiosity and growth in her students. Originally from San Francisco, she holds both a Master’s in Biology and a Master’s in Education. She brings enthusiasm and deep subject knowledge to the classroom, helping students see how biology and chemistry connect to the wonders of the world—and even to their own DNA. She believes excitement for the subject matter is one of the most powerful tools in teaching. Outside of school, she enjoys movies, music, Arabic drumming, Middle Eastern dance, reading, art and wine festivals, coffee houses, and traveling.
