A San Francisco native, Kamara is honored to tell the stories of transformation that unfold within the O’Dowd community. She earned her BA in Interdisciplinary Studies from UC Berkeley and her MDiv from Union Theological Seminary in New York City. Before coming to O’Dowd, she spent 15 years as a faith-based community organizer working on public policy in service of the common good. She is especially drawn to O’Dowd’s charism and commitment to social justice, and to the school’s dedication to preparing students for lives of purpose and service. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, yoga, watching bad reality shows, and going to the beach with her daughter.
