Jane grew up in Walnut Creek and previously taught in Alameda and Oakland public schools before joining O’Dowd. She earned her BS in Chemistry from the University of Puget Sound and her MA in Education from UC Berkeley. Jane is passionate about collaborative, phenomenon-based chemistry learning, helping students explore scientific concepts through curiosity and shared discovery. She values O’Dowd’s commitment to educating the whole person and fostering both intellectual and personal growth. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, baking, and exploring various art forms.
