Originally from Illinois, Jana has called California home for the past 20 years. She earned her BA in Biology from DePaul University and her MA in Education from National Louis University. Over her 22-year teaching career, she has primarily taught Biology and currently teaches Science and the Environment, Sports Medicine, and Anatomy & Physiology. Jana is passionate about building personal connections with students and helping them see the sciences as relevant and applicable to their everyday lives. Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her large family, caring for her many pets, and relaxing with movies, music, games, crafting, and time outdoors.
