Damon is a lifelong Oakland native with deep ties to the community. Through longtime relationships with O’Dowd alumni, including Head Basketball Coach Lou Richie ’89, Damon became familiar with O'Dowd's impact. While attending Cal Poly Pomona, where Damon played college basketball, he saw firsthand how well-prepared O’Dowd graduates were for academic success—an experience that shaped his desire for the same education for his own children.

That connection has come full circle, with one of Damon's sons graduating from O’Dowd and going on to earn a master’s degree from Georgetown University, and another set to attend Morehouse College. Damon values O’Dowd for its strong college preparatory environment and commitment to student success.

Outside of his work on campus, Damon stays busy serving as an engineer with the Peralta Colleges, continuing his commitment to supporting the broader community.
