Born and raised in Oakland, Coach K has dedicated his life and career to the community he calls home. He earned his BS from Cal State Hayward and completed his teaching credentials at National University. Inspired by the educators who shaped his own path, he is committed to paying that impact forward—encouraging students to embrace challenges, grow through struggle, and realize their potential. He believes O’Dowd is special because of its dedicated families and motivated students, who make the work of education deeply rewarding. Outside of school, he coaches his Oakland Wildcats travel baseball teams, continuing to mentor young people through athletics.
