Originally from Southern California, Art holds a BA in Philosophy from UC Berkeley and an MA in Teaching from the University of San Francisco. He is passionate about guiding young people along their path of self-discovery and helping them make sense of an ever-changing world.

Art’s teaching centers on Socratic dialogue, encouraging students to reflect deeply and engage meaningfully with big questions. He believes that the study of religion helps students connect with something larger than themselves and better understand their place in the world.

Outside of school, Art enjoys playing guitar, surfing, drawing, and basketball.
