Aidan was raised in Oakland and attended Catholic schools throughout his own education. He earned his BA in History with a minor in Journalism from UC Berkeley and later completed an MA in Philosophy at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology at the Graduate Theological Union.

Aidan approaches teaching as a way to help students become more awake to the world—more thoughtful, compassionate, and morally attentive. He strives to create a classroom experience that is reflective, intellectually rich, and student-centered. At the heart of his work is the hope that students come to recognize their own inherent dignity: that they have infinite worth and deserve to be loved in the fullness of their being.
