Sil is a self-described third-culture kid. She was born in Korea, lived in Bangladesh, and attended boarding school in India before eventually settling in the United States.

Sil holds a BA in Writing Across Cultures from St. Olaf College and an MFA in Fiction Writing from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her global experiences and background in storytelling inform her thoughtful approach to working with information and systems that support the school community. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy exploring the food scene wherever they live
