A proud O’Dowd alumnus who began teaching at his alma mater in 2001, Lou serves as a mentor to generations of Dragons. He earned his BS in History/Political Science from Clemson University and his MA in Education from UC Berkeley. He teaches because he genuinely loves working with young people and believes physical education is essential—after all, our lives are filled with movement. Known for his energetic and positive approach, he embraces what he calls “positive persuasiveness pedagogy” to motivate students. Outside of school, he enjoys baseball and perfecting his lawn-care routine.
