Leonard holds dual bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and Classical Civilizations from UCLA. Originally from Sacramento, he brings a strong foundation in both literary analysis and classical thought to his teaching.

Leonard values the study of literature as a way to deepen understanding of the human experience and to challenge students to think critically about the world around them.

Outside of school, Leonard plays rugby for the Olympic Club and enjoys reading works such as The Lord of the Rings, Brave New World, and The Remains of the Day.
