Laurie grew up in Oakland and is a proud graduate of O’Dowd. She holds a BS in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis, and a Master’s in Teaching from the University of San Francisco.

Laurie is passionate about supporting students’ overall well-being, helping them build healthy habits, manage stress, and care for themselves both physically and mentally. As an alum, she values the strong sense of community at O’Dowd and the way it supports students’ growth in all aspects of their lives.

Outside of school, Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, as well as swimming, hiking, and traveling.
