Eleanor is drawn to school library work because she believes the questions students learn to ask when evaluating information become powerful tools—not only for research, but for thoughtful engagement with the unfamiliar in all its forms. She earned her BA in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her MA in Education along with her English Teaching Credential from Mills College. She sees reading as transformative, an opportunity to encounter new perspectives and nurture growth through access to diverse texts. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, making relief prints, watching survival shows, cooking, and finding ways to be outdoors.
