Originally from Oklahoma City, Cristin came to the Bay Area to attend Santa Clara University in 1994 and has called it home ever since. Coming from a family of educators, she developed an early appreciation for quality education, critical thinking, and lifelong learning—values instilled by her parents and grandmother.

Cristin enjoys helping students explore spirituality and discover the relevance of Religious Studies in their everyday lives. She especially appreciates O'Dowd's commitment to supporting the whole student, fostering belonging, and celebrating diversity.

Outside of school, Cristin enjoys spending time with family and friends, creating art, reading, attending the theater, exploring the Bay Area, and playing board games.
