Connie brings a global and literary perspective to her work in the classroom. Originally from Venezuela, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Florida International University and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from CUNY Brooklyn College. She teaches to cultivate empathy and meaningful critical inquiry, guiding students to engage deeply with texts and with one another. She believes literature opens space for reflection, dialogue, and a richer understanding of the human experience.
