Carlos brings a deep appreciation for the formative power of sports to the O’Dowd community. Originally from Berkeley, he earned his BA in Film Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He believes athletics are an essential complement to the classroom and home, reinforcing values such as honor, respect, responsibility, commitment, preparation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. He especially values the lifelong relationships formed among teammates, opponents, and coaches. Outside of school, he enjoys hiking, biking, fishing, and collecting records.
