Here’s a breakdown of the application process:
Step 1: Student Interest Form
Our Student Interest Form starts your application process, registers you for welcome events, and ensures you stay up-to-date on admissions deadlines.
Step 3: The High School Placement Test
For the 2024-25 school year, O’Dowd will consider the HSPT standardized test scores. For admission decisions, we will continue to take into account transcripts, portfolio submissions, and recommendations in addition to test scores.
If your student is applying to another Catholic school, please contact the school to which they are applying to understand their HSPT requirements.

Step 4: Apply Online
December 8, 2023 Courtesy Deadline (reduced application fee)
January 11, 2024 Final Deadline.
Step 5: Admissions Decisions Announced
We will send out acceptance letters via email on Friday March 15, 2024.
(Sibling families may enroll after 4:00pm on this day.)
Step 6: Enroll
March 16, starting 3:00pm. If admitted, you will be asked to complete an enrollment contract, submit a non-refundable deposit, and select a parent pledge option to secure a place in the class. See the Enrollment Guide.
