Transforming Lives Annual Fund

Your gift to the O’Dowd Transforming Lives Annual Fund supports our students and the programs that define and distinguish O’Dowd, and sustains the education and preparation of a new generation of leaders, empowered to create positive change in the world.  Transforming Lives helps provide:

  • Life-changing experiences, including service learning and retreats
  • Competitive compensation so we can attract and retain outstanding faculty

Your investment in O’Dowd’s capital infrastructure ensures that our purpose-driven urban community is supported by the kind of physical spaces needed to offer so many enriching opportunities to our students.

Parent Pledge

O’Dowd parents are asked to make a four-year, tax-deductible parent pledge to Bishop O’Dowd High School. These parent pledges support an enriched high school experience for all students: dedicated and talented teachers; small class sizes; award-winning student programs including the arts, drama, debate, mock trial, and athletics; enriching campus ministry program; expanded counseling center and comprehensive academic support. In essence, you sustain the exciting daily life of your students. Tuition and fees cover 89 percent of the total cost to educate your student at O’Dowd. To help close this financial gap, O’Dowd expects all parents to make an annual tax-deductible $1,800 pledge on behalf of each child who attends O’Dowd. For more information click here »

Meet the Class of 2017 Senior Philanthropy Team

Our mission is to educate O’Dowd students about the importance of philanthropy on campus and to create an opportunity for seniors to express gratitude for their time at O’Dowd by paying it forward to the next generation of students.

maddy Maddy Farrington ’17– Co Chair – Maddy is is a member of the cross country and track teams. “The 2017 Senior Class Gift serves as our enduring legacy at O’Dowd. It is our last thank you, our last goodbye, our last imprint on the school that gave us so many opportunities and countless memories. From Spirit Week craziness to formative classroom experiences, O’Dowd has been a pivotal place for us to grow. The Senior Class Gift is our chance to make the school an even better place for generations to come.”




tamarik2Tamarik Rabb ’17– Co Chair – Tamarik is active on the Yearbook Committee, runs track, and is a Dragon Ambassador. “I wanted to get involved in the Senior Class Gift because I know what it is like to be on the receiving side of tuition assistance. I understand how life-changing an O’Dowd education can be.”





dillanDylan Brown ’17– Treasurer – Dylan is a member of the Campus Ministry Team, the Debate Team, a leader in the Black Student Union, President oaf the National Honor Society, and started a social justice club, Solidarity not Solitary, at O’Dowd. Dylan says, “Think of all the friends you have at O’Dowd! What would your life be like without them? jessicaJessica Delaney ’17 – Secretary – Jessica attended St. Philip Neri School prior to O’Dowd and appreciates the value of a Catholic education and caring community like O’Dowd . As one of the first seniors to give, Jessica says “I donated because I know my money is going to help another student receive a top quality education that they probably wouldn’t have had the opportunity to experience otherwise.”
