A proud Oakland native and graduate of O’Dowd, Sharon has long believed that history is, at its heart, the study of people. She pursued her education at California State University, East Bay; Santa Clara University; and Dominican University. She is passionate about helping students understand that by truly learning history, we can avoid repeating the mistakes of the past. Deeply connected to her community, she also volunteers at local animal shelters and is an avid animal lover. Outside of school, she finds joy in gardening and spending time outdoors—especially on nature walks with her dog.
