Originally from Cuba, Roxana brings a global perspective and deep expertise in language and linguistics to her teaching. Her academic journey has taken her across several countries: she earned her BA in Hispanic Linguistics and Literature from the University of Havana, an MA in Hispanic Lexicology from the Real Academia EspaƱola in Spain, an MS in Lexicology and Terminology from Charles de Gaulle University in Lille, France, and a PhD in Linguistics from Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris.
Roxana teaches because she is passionate about the process of learning and believes strongly in the transformative power of education. In her classroom, she often uses project-based learning to help students actively engage with language and culture. She sees language study as a gateway to understanding different ways of thinking, living, and expressing ideas. Outside of school, Roxana enjoys writing, climbing, gardening, stand-up paddleboarding, and creative projects such as decorating, renovating, and upcycling.
