Mary grew up in Louisiana and has spent most of her adult life in the Bay Area. She holds a BA in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and an MA in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley.

Mary appreciates O’Dowd for its strong support of students, the diversity of its faculty, staff, and student body, and the spirit of its charism. In her work, she is especially committed to helping students recognize their inherent worth—encouraging attentiveness, acceptance, and an honoring of each person’s true and unique self.
