Kianna grew up in Oakland and first became familiar with O’Dowd as a high school basketball player at Hayward's Tennyson High, where her team often competed against the Dragons. Being on campus each day, she enjoys looking out for students and supporting them as they grow. She believes school is an important place where young people develop the attitudes and skills that prepare them for adulthood.

Outside of work, Kianna is also an artist who enjoys writing music. She recently joined the Lotus Women’s Basketball League and continues to stay active in the game she loves.
