Born and raised in Oakland, Kathy comes from a true O’Dowd legacy family. Her father graduated with the Class of 1958, and her family’s Dragon story now spans six decades, including two of her own children who graduated in 2012 and 2018. Kathy first attended O’Dowd as a student and later returned to teach math from 1989 to 1998. She earned her BS in Psychology from Saint Mary’s College.

After years away, Kathy felt the pull to return once again, rejoining the community in 2022 in a development role. In her work, she enjoys connecting students, families, alumni, and supporters around the shared belief in the lasting value of an exceptional Catholic education. Outside of O'Dowd, Kathy is most at home with family — her husband, their beloved dog Redwood, and the people she loves most — and anywhere the wind and water take her: flying kites, swimming in open water, and soaking in every moment.
