Gerald grew up attending Assumption Parish in San Leandro and went to St. Louis Bertrand and St. Lawrence O’Toole before graduating from O’Dowd. O’Dowd is a family tradition—his mother, along with his aunts, uncles, and cousins, also attended the school. Today, that connection continues with his own son, who is a freshman.

Gerald brings a wide range of experience to his role, including serving as an EMT and spending eight years in special operations with the U.S. Navy. Returning to O’Dowd feels like coming full circle for him, as he now serves the same community that helped shape his life. He values the opportunity to support students, faculty, and staff each day—often working alongside teachers who once taught him—and feels blessed to be part of the Dragon community. In his free time, Gerald enjoys being outdoors, especially camping and fishing. The Delta and Pinecrest Lake are among his favorite places to spend time in nature.
