Dr. Doug Evans earned his EdD in Catholic Educational Leadership from the University of San Francisco, along with an MA in Pastoral Ministry and a Master of Theological Studies from the Franciscan School of Theology in Berkeley. He received his BA from the University of Oregon.

Raised primarily in Oregon, his early life included time living in Los Angeles, Oxford, England, and Nijmegen in the Netherlands. He is passionate about empowering students to work for justice and values the energy and curiosity that teenagers bring to the classroom. His approach to education emphasizes meeting students where they are and creating opportunities for the “aha” moments when learning truly connects.

Outside of school, he enjoys hiking, biking, camping, stand-up paddleboarding, exploring the Bay Area with his family, and attending live comedy, theater, and local arts events.
