On Wednesday, September 5, the O’Dowd Athletic Department held a men’s volleyball interest meeting to gauge the number of students interested in participating in volleyball at O’Dowd.
Over 30 students across all four grade levels attended, which now positions us to take the next step towards starting a men’s volleyball program a reality. The next step in our planning process is to request entry into the West Alameda County Conference league schedule at the league athletic directors meeting on Wednesday, September 26.
Men’s volleyball is a spring sport with the official season start date scheduled for Monday, January 28, 2019. If your student is interested in participating and was not able to attend the meeting, please contact associate athletic director, Carlos Arriaga at carriaga@bishopodowd.org
