Celebrating Generations of Dragons: Alumni Happy Hour

Class of '86

As the sun set across the Bay Area, we welcomed nearly 100 alumni to campus for our annual Alumni Happy Hour. Everyone enjoyed delicious food and drinks while watching girls soccer dominate on the Lower Field, before heading to the Knauss Gymnasium for the boys basketball game. Throughout the night, generations of Dragons connected with former classmates, met alumni from different decades, and visited with faculty members.

“It’s a surreal experience to come back to O’Dowd, see all the changes that have taken place, and see fellow students and teachers who were a part of my high school experience,” said Larry Butler ’04. “I am very happy to see the number of alumni who attend these events has been growing and I hope that continues.”

“It's always inspiring to touch base with our alumni,” said Associate Principal Fran Warmerdam. “As a long-time counselor here, I've worked with many students - and when they come back, they always share how important their time at O'Dowd was to them.”

“O’Dowd always hosts classy events. We were greeted by friendly current students and then caught up with Fran Wamerdam and Brian Judd. We loved watching the basketball game in the new gymnasium,” shared Katie and Kelly Cronin ’80. “O’Dowd has a special place in our hearts and we feel blessed to have attended back in the 80’s.”
