Being able to communicate effectively and to comprehend the style and content of another's words are the keys to the evolution of human compassion and knowledge.

King Kamehameha I, who united the islands of Hawai'I under one rule was born in one of my favorite places on Earth, the Kohala Coast on the Big Island of Hawai'I.

Burmese Harp, a Kon Ichikawa film based on the book Harp of Burma by Michio Takeyama, which is about a japanese soldier in the WWII Burma Campaign, who dons Buddhist robes as a part of a disguise to determine the position of the British.

Hobbies or outside interests:

I love to travel and am close to lots of friends and family. I am looking forward to discovering and rediscovering hobbies and interests that I had to put aside for the last two years as I completed my Masters degree.
