Aurora loves to help students discover the power of language and self-expression. Originally from Los Angeles, she earned her BA in English from California State University, East Bay and her MA in Teaching from the University of Southern California.

Aurora was inspired to become a teacher by the lasting impact her own teachers had on her life. In her classroom, she prioritizes relationship-building, believing that understanding each student’s experiences and goals helps create a space where meaningful learning can happen. She believes the skills developed in English—critical reading, writing, listening, and speaking—are essential for every path students may pursue. Outside of school, Aurora enjoys watching anime, playing video games, hiking, and visiting cozy cafés or bookstores with her partner.
