Alberto was born and raised in Stockton, California, and has called the Bay Area home since 2014. He earned his BA in Spanish Language and Culture and his MAT from Southern Oregon University, as well as an MAT in TESOL from the University of Southern California. In the classroom, he seeks to empower students to think critically and serve their communities through authentic and meaningful engagement. He also enjoys highlighting the rich diversity of the Spanish-speaking world and the cultures that shape its dynamic global presence. He values the diversity of the O’Dowd community and the opportunity it provides for connection and growth. Outside of school, he enjoys hiking and running the trails at Lake Chabot and talking sports—especially football and soccer.
