Why I Teach:

To empower students to think for themselves and how to better serve their peers and communities through authentic and meaningful interactions.

Most powerful teaching technique:

Project-based learning of the many countries and cultures that make up the Spanish-speaking world.

Why are the subjects you teach important?:

It allows students to better understand the countries and cultures that make up the Spanish-speaking world. Students engage with group and individual projects and activities to enhance their knowledge of traditions, cuisine, and history along with their reading and writing skills. The classroom environment is an inclusive community and a place where students will have the opportunity to express their gained subject knowledge via classroom dialogues.
