We Heard You, O’Dowd Alumni: Announcing the O’Dowd Alumni Directory Project
As a result of your feedback from the alumni survey and Alumni Advisory Summit, we are proud to announce the launch of our Alumni Directory Project. Our goal is to meet your needs and develop a resource for you to remain connected with former high school friends, classmates, and associates. We know that this directory will also provide alumni with the necessary information to network professionally.
Over the next few months, Publishing Concepts, Inc. (PCI), our partners in this project, will be contacting O’Dowd Alumni by phone, email and mail to verify or update information. When contacted, please take a few moments to verify that we have complete and accurate information. We understand you might not want to provide your information to just anyone, so we want you to know their request for information is legitimate.

Why do I Need to Update My Information?
Information changes quickly! Mailing addresses, e-mail addresses, children…things are always changing with our alumni and we want to keep in touch with you. Updating your information will ensure O’Dowd and the alumni association can keep you connected.
What are my Options for Purchasing A 2017 O’Dowd Alumni Directory from PCI?

Why is O’Dowd Using an Outside Contractor to Complete This Project?
With a very small staff, your Office of Alumni Relations needs to use a professional company experienced in working with schools and universities to ensure the directory is complete, accurate, and finished on time.
When Will the Directory be Complete?
The directory is projected to be printed in the fall of 2018. The project takes about a year to complete. Only the number of directories that have been requested by alumni will be printed to be cost-effective and environmentally friendly.
Is There an Environmentally Friendly Version of the Alumni Directory?
Yes, alumni may purchase a digital download of the Alumni Directory.
Can I Choose What Information is Listed in the Directory?
Yes. As a standard, the following information will be printed in the directory:
Current name (last, first, middle initial) and cross-reference by name as a student
Class year
Current job title and employer name
Home mailing address and phone number
Preferred e-mail address
If you wish not to have certain information printed in the directory, you may choose to have specific details omitted.
What If I Don’t Want to be Listed in the Directory? What if I Don’t Want Certain Pieces of Information Listed?
PCI can still update your information for us, but will honor your specific request to exclude all of parts of your biographical data from the publication.
Who Is Publishing Concepts, Inc.?
We’ve partnered with Publishing Concepts, Inc. to produce our alumni directory. Established in 1921, PCI has been an industry leader for nearly 100 years, and we are confident that this publication will meet the needs of our constituents.
When Can I Expect to Hear From Publishing Concepts, Inc.?
You will receive a postcard or an email with a toll-free phone number so you can call at your convenience to speak with a dedicated representative for the Bishop O’Dowd High School Alumni Directory project. The representative will verify all the information we have on file for you and make any updates where needed. You may call Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until about 10:00 p.m. (ET). They may also try to contact you at work during the day, in the evening, or during the weekend at home. On Saturdays, they may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (ET). If you are contacted at a time that is inconvenient for you, simply let the representative know. S/he will give you Publishing Concepts a toll-free number or will arrange to call you later.
