The Bishop O’Dowd High School Clay Club held its 5th Annual Pottery Luck Event March 11-13, drawing people of all ages to campus to have fun with clay.
O’Dowd students, parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as friends, enjoyed creating and glazing clay pieces such as bowls, mugs, vases, sculptures and much more.
This annual event is a fundraiser for the Potters for Peace Ceramic Water Filter Project. Potters for Peace is a non-profit organization that helps people create clay water filters in places that need safe drinking water.
The Clay Club motto for 2016-17 was “Bring Your Clay Game,” and many brought it to this year’s Pottery Luck. The Clay Club would like to thank all the parents, volunteers, staff, and especially the students, that helped make the event such a success.
