Thanks to all who participated in the parent survey. This series of events is in response to parent feedback and is aimed at supporting parents as the primary educators of their children. Emphasis this year is placed on providing parents with the opportunity connect with other parents, fellowship and network. Parent Education evenings will start at 6:30 with hospitality and community time with other O’Dowd parents. The events begin at 7:00 and end between 8:30-9:00, to allow time for more conversation as needed. Unless otherwise noted, Parent Education events will take place in the O’Dowd theater.

The Parent Education program is a partnership between Bishop O’Dowd and the Dragon Parents in working together with the shared interest of raising happy and healthy young men and women. In this spirit of partnership we anticipate that additional events will be scheduled and announced as the needs become present in our community. Please visit and bookmark the Partners in Parenting page on the Bishop O’Dowd website to stay current with additional offerings and resources.

We are fortunate to have Mark Lederer, Director of Health and Wellness, and Metra Vaba, Dragon Parent Education Chair, working in partnership to support the parent community. Comments, questions and suggestions in support of a responsive Parent Education program are invited. Contact Mark Lederer at lederer@bishopodowd.org or by phone at 510-577-9100 ex. 264.
