♩All the worlds a stage, and we’re getting ready for our show. Audition information down below!♩

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s fall production will be Shaina Taub’s musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic comedy, As You Like It! Named one of The New York Times’ best shows of 2017, As You Like It is a dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families and lovers in disguise. Featuring an original folk-pop score by Shaina Taub, you will fall under love’s spell with this magical story!

The original NYC production featured over 200 actors and community members performing alongside Broadway stars, celebrating the city’s diverse spirit. We urge all members of the O’Dowd community, regardless of previous experience, to consider joining us this fall so that this production can be a celebration of the diversity here at O’Dowd and the greater Bay Area.

Auditions will be held after school from August 30th-September 1st with a possible callback on September 3rd. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this Audition Form. Those who fill out the audition form will receive a follow up email in the next few days with more information including what to prepare for auditions.

We Were There: A Crisis Reflected

O’Dowd’s original show from Fall 2020 is now available! “We Were There: A Crisis Reflected” features student-produced monologues, scenes, songs, dance, and film that responds to both living through a global pandemic, and the heightened social, political, and cultural crisis to address institutionalized racism in our country.

“In theatre, we are humanitarians. We make change by telling stories. That’s our charism for social justice. We help people see the world differently, and we motivate them to action.”
