Why I Teach:

Most powerful teaching technique:

Tenderness

Why are the subjects you teach important?:

English class teaches us about the world and our place in it. It is empowers us to speak our truth and to deeply listen to the truths of others. Studying English made me both more kind and more fierce and I hope that it allows my students to become fuller versions of themselves as well.

"You do not have to be good/ You do not have to walk on your knees/or a hundred miles through the desert repenting/You only have to let the soft animal of your body/love what it loves"" Wild Geese, Mary Oliver.
