Why I Teach:
To help support and inspire the young minds that will make our world a better place.
Most powerful teaching technique:
Active listening, patience, and a little humor
Why are the subjects you teach important?:
On the surface, math, including algebra and geometry, are important because successful completion of these courses is required for college entrance. On a deeper level, math is a language that students need to learn so that they can better analyze and understand the world around them. Having a strong foundation in math opens doors and gives students a leg up in fields like financial literacy, economics, and computer science.
