history
Varsity Women
The varsity women’s team has a long tradition of success going back to the early 1970’s. Bishop O’Dowd High School is proud to have one of the oldest and most successful women’s programs in the State. Since 1986, our dual meet record has been approximately 178-18. Since 1986, the Dragons have won league championships in 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005. The women have won four North Coast Section (NCS) Championships, and have earned six other finishes in the top 3 in the ultra competitive NCS. The women have had major success at the State Meet where we have finished 5th in 1991, 3rd in 1992, 3rd in 1993, 3rd in 2000, 6th in 2001, and 2nd in 2004.
