Charity Drives

As a school, we strive to educate leaders of competence, conscience and compassion. One way we show our ongoing compassion is through our Charity Drives: the monthly Dollar Days, the fall Food and Toy Drive, and the spring Mission Drive.

Dollar Days

Students are encouraged to participate in Dollar Days each month through their homerooms. As a school committed to compassion and giving, Dollar Days ask students to help a charity in need by giving their loose change to different organizations. Every month we choose a different local charity and funds are collected during a homeroom near the beginning of the month. The philosophy of Dollar Days rests on the belief that, while each individual dollar does not seem like much, our combined resources really can make an impact and help marginalized communities in our society. Please give generously! Every little bit helps! For more information, contact Brian Judd at judd@bishopodowd.org

Food and Toy Drive

Each Fall our school-wide Food and Toy Drive helps families in need through St. Vincent DePaul Society. Every homeroom class will collect food and toys for one family and all students are expected to participate in this tremendous effort. Campus Ministry coordinates The Food and Toy Drive, led by the Senior Campus Ministry Team. If you would like to be involved beyond your homeroom, please contact Mr. Judd or a CMT member. This activity has been one of the most meaningful activities for participants in the program and students are encouraged to get involved through their Class Ministry Teams. Students should look for the Christmas Trees in your homeroom to support your family! For more information, contact Brian Judd at Judd@bishopodowd.org

Mission Drive

Every Spring, the whole school participates in our week-long Mission Drive, a chance for us to focus our charity internationally. Coordinating with the Senior Campus Ministry Team, this program seeks to both educate and raise funds for a need somewhere beyond the borders of the U.S.
