Opportunities at Bishop O'Dowd Morning Gatherings

Join us for Weekly Prayer Service at 7:45 AM every Tuesday morning in the chapel. Mass, word and communion service, quiet meditation, scriptural rosary or lauds prayer will be celebrated.

Please direct questions to Doug Vierra.

Daily Readings

Many people use the Daily Readings for Mass to pray with or to use in preparation for an upcoming liturgy. The reading for all Sundays and every weekday are available, as well as an electronic copy of the New American Bible.

Follow the link below to the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops web page where you will find the Readings for the Liturgy of the day.

As a Catholic school community, we are all called to examine our own spirituality. Campus Ministry provides the following resources for faculty, staff and parents to grow in their own faith.

Spiritual Development Events

Parents in Prayer
A prayer opportunity for the entire BOD community. All parents, caregivers, teachers, staff and administration are invited to gather together to pray for our community. We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month in the chapel at 8:45am. All faiths are welcome. Not able to join us? Feel free to email intentions to prayers@bishopodowd.org or drop a petition in the Community Prayers box located in the main lobby.

Daily Morning Prayer
Students and faculty share prayerful reflections at the start of the school day for the entire community.

Weekday Mass or Prayer Service
7:40 AM on Tuesdays in the Chapel. All students and faculty are invited to attend! The service will sometimes be a Catholic Mass, or will include Lauds (a traditional prayer service) or other meditations led by faculty and students.

Spiritual Counseling

Members of the Campus Ministry staff are available for spiritual counseling. Contact any member individually for a one time visit or to schedule a consistent meeting.

Faith Sharing

Campus Ministry sponsors faith sharing groups weekly during the seasons of advent and lent. These programs were created to help faculty and staff grow in their own faith. Groups draw from different prayer styles of the Christian faith while also exploring the spirituality of other traditions.

Groups meet every Wednesday beginning on Ash Wednesday and the first Wednesday of Lent at 3:15 in the chapel. All faculty and staff are welcome!
