Ministry Teams

CAMPUS MINISTRY TEAM is the core group of senior leaders in Campus Ministry. CMT provides leadership in all liturgies and school-wide charity drives. They support and guide the Class Ministry Teams in all their endeavors. This group meets during a class period as well as some MP’s and outside school hours. Juniors may apply to be on CMT for the following year beginning in April.


CLASS MINISTRY TEAMS are a great way to be help campus ministry while building community in fun and friendly meetings. Class Ministry is open to all students in each grade. Grounded in the mission and philosophy of Bishop O’Dowd High School, the individual class ministry teams seek to be inclusive groups where student can explore their own spirituality, discuss issues relevant to faith and participate in ministering to their peers.

They meet regularly during MP’s to:

  • Get to know each other in a welcoming community.
  • Discuss spirituality and faith issues in their lives and share fun activities.
  • Plan their Class Liturgy.
  • Provide input and leadership to their classmates during the school charity drives and Dollar Days.

All the Teams are led by Ms.Bauermeister with help from other staff


Each Team meets once a month on Sunday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the Chapel at school. Freshman Ministry Team - meets the FIRST Sunday of every month
Sophomore Ministry Team - meets the THIRD Sunday of every month
Junior Ministry Team - meets the FOURTH Sunday of every month

RETREAT TEAM is a group of 100 juniors and seniors that is trained to run the Freshman and Sophomore Retreats. Those interested in being a part of the Retreat Team should fill out an application (available at the Campus Ministry Center in Dominican Hall or the main office) and attend training on the following dates:

Monday Sept. 14 or Wednesday Sept. 16, 2009
Tuesday Sept. 22, or Wednesday Sept. 23, 2009
